Garuda Association in Poland established by geshe Tenzin Wangyal
Rinpoche has been a proprietor of The European Centre of Yungdrung Bon
in Wilga near Warsaw since 20th April 2004. Garuda Association
represents in Poland the teachings of Yungdrung Bon, ie. Eternal Bon -
ancient, pre-buddist spiritual tradition, which is as old as 18 000
years. This tradition had been developing over centuries in Central
Asia and around 1 000 years BC appeared in Tibet. Yungdrung Bon has got
much in common with other traditions of Tibetan Buddism but traces its
own origin to the enlightened being Tonpa Sherab (Budda), who was a
teacher and a king in the land of Olmo Lungring. From that country his
teachings spread to Zhang-Zhung, which occupied the area of North and
West Tibet. Over centuries the Bon religion was the main religion of
Tibet. Today the gratest teachers of this tradition (forced to leave
their country) share these teachings with people in the West in order
to save the oldest spiritual heritage.
We invite you for
meditations and retreats led by the masters of the tradition to the
European Centre of Yungdrung Bon CHAMA LING.
